Transforming a Personality Driven Life to Soul-infused Personality. Let the Soul Drive!

How to transform?  It starts by surrendering into a wonderful space.  The caterpillar builds a cocoon and then begins the transformation, which is radical.  It liquifies and builds itself into a butterfly.  Both the caterpillar and butterfly are necessary, just as the evolution of a human being in a personality and then soul.

The wonderful space for a human being to surrender in is their own soul.  No one can tell you all about it, it must be experienced by you.  Only you can bring yourself to this place where the Soul gently opens your Heart chakra.  When the energy of the personality allows the Soul to drive the workings of the individual.  In this sweet surrender, life is transformed.  Similar to the butterfly taking shape in the cocoon.

The personality can get exhausted, overwhelmed, frustrated and so on.  With the Soul driving the personality the energy picks up, with understanding, and love.  The opposites are dropped – right/wrong, good/bad, accept/reject.  In dropping the rope of opposites, the inclusion of a soul-driven individual begins.  In an individuality that is no longer limited and separated.  The soul transcends time and space.

Like tiny moths coming into the eternal creative flame that we actually are. How healing is that to the Heart? No strain on the Soul to Love.  The recognition of who you were all the time; that patient love waiting to be invoked.  In the awareness of the Soul, and expressing Soul desire through you; it’s all there.

The concept of the caterpillar and the butterfly, came during the “Love is More than One” Meditation.  When a group of Soul-inspired Beings get together, watch out.

The Life of Sitting and the Need for Change

Our bodies were built to move and most of us sit a great portion of our day.  Poor posture is a key component to the cause of pain.  Most definitely it is not a deficiency in pain killers and muscle relaxants.  It used to be older people would start rolling forward and hunching.  Now we see with video games, smart phones, and other modern conveniences: any age person is rolling their shoulders forward and slouching.

What’s the remedy?  Maybe nothing until you are in enough pain or discomfort to change.  When we move wrong, we place constant wear and tear on our joints, primarily our spine.  This can lead to other pain in the body like knee pain, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, and jaw pain. To learn more you can listen and watch  Dr. Eric Goodman, a chiropractor who developed “Foundation Training”.  This work is to build a strong posterior chain to support the body with better biomechanics.  The posterior chain is the continuum of the back muscles, gluts, hamstrings, and calves acting as one unit.   A key factor is to learn to hinge at your hips versus bending with your spine.

You can learn something about Foundation Training by this introduction on a TED presentation below and if you don’t want to listen skip to around 8:30 and start the active movement.

Turmeric Tea Recipe

This is a fabulous go to hot drink at the end of the day or actually anytime.  Your can vary the amounts to your taste.  Turmeric’s key ingredient is curcumin, which has studies showing great health benefits including:

Anti-inflammatory (reducing joint pain), anti-cancer, anti-depressant, digestive aid, liver detoxification, anti-oxidant, wound healing, blood sugar, anti-bacterial, immune booster, and more

Turmeric “Tea”

  • 1c Coconut Milk
  • 1/2t Turmeric
  • 1/2t Cinnamon
  • 1/8t Nutmeg
  • pinch of black pepper ( said to help in turmeric’s absorption)
  • 1t honey or maple syrup to taste
  • pinch of cayenne pepper

Slowly warm milk with all the ingredients in a sauce pan.  Warming too quickly makes the coconut milk gooey and thick.  Drink warm and enjoy.

For more specifics research on Turmeric-

“Curcumin seems to delay liver damage that can eventually lead to cirrhosis, according to preliminary experimental research at the Medical University Graz in Austria.
Kansas State University research found that adding certain spices, including turmeric, can reduce the levels of heterocyclic amines — carcinogenic compounds that are formed when meats are barbecued, boiled or fried — by up to 40 percent.
Rodent studies at the University of Texas indicate that curcumin inhibits the growth of a skin cancer, melanoma and also slows the spread of breast cancer into the lungs.
Researchers from the University of South Dakota have found that pretreatment with curcumin makes cancer cells more vulnerable to chemo and radiotherapy.

Help with Junk Mail with Bayesian Spam Filtering

Spam Sieve http://c-command.com

Not only did I get help with my junk mail, I learned a new word.  Bayesian – “a theorem describing how the conditional probability of each of a set of possible causes for a given observed outcome can be computed from knowledge of the probability of each cause and the conditional probability of the outcome of each cause.”  In easy language a statistic genius figured out how to keep Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz, Joe Vitale, Ellen, losing weight, building wood sheds , and all the other junk in the junk mailbox.  I have an empty junk mail box, which seems to be a modern day miracle.

I had so much junk mail and good mail mixing in my junk box.  Overwhelmed and not wanting to take the time to go through it, over 10,000 unread emails were in the junk mailbox.  Found out about Spam Sieve and was given the recommendation to empty my junk mailbox before I download the 30-day free trial.  It took a couple of days and lots of hours sifting through emails.  Found some emails that should have been attended to months and months ago.  Sometimes we don’t recognize a burden until we get rid of it.  A freedom and lightness to checking my emails happened.  Maybe you have this dilemma or maybe you’re so up on your emails you have no need for this.  Just want to share something that I’m so thankful for.  I’m about 2 weeks into my trial and the difference of junk mail is tremendous, so I bought the download for $30.

It takes a little training, then the junk mail is mostly junk and any questionable emails will be in a different color hue.  Easy to scan through the 100-200 nonsense emails that come through daily. I highly recommend the trial and I can’t imagine life without Spam Sieve.  I downloaded from c-command.com.

2 cups of Celery a Day

Fight Cancer and Live a Healthier Life with Celery

For a few years I’ve been recommending 2 cups of Celery a Day to assist the body.  Celery binds toxins and helps remove them from the system.  With this article you can read the details of how celery fights cancer, replaces electrolytes, balances pH levels, lowers cholesterol and blood pressure, prevents constipation, improves kidney function, and supports the nervous system.  Maybe after seeing all the benefits you’ll actually eat it.  Purchase organic celery and just do it.

“Love is More than One” Meditative drawing

While in the telepathic meditation each Sunday at 10:30am I make drawings on my iPhone.  In the start of the meditation, we were asked what we were bringing to the group.  I felt steady persistent love; patience and knowingness; and the group being held in divine confidence.  The drawing that develops has no objective except expressing what I “see” moment to moment through the meditation.  Some days I draw, others I’m still, I attempt to see where my soul wants to take “me” the personality.  The soul-driven life is delightful and challenging all at the same time.  The best part is knowing that in love there is an imaginable and to the dense mind sometimes unimaginable support.

I like to record the video which shows stroke by stroke how the drawing evolves.  Today there was a major gap for some reason.  Most likely to illustrate sometimes it takes a jump in life and you’re not sure how you land in a totally different place.  All I can say is the surrender to allowing things to be as they are and loving every nuance of living has brought more joy to me.  Towards the end of the meditation I felt “What we honor, honors us.” Then the group started moving towards family and how this group has developed a family-like community.  Love in Action for sure.

Later in the afternoon I watched Thich Nhat Hanh interview with Oprah.  The confirmation of the importance of group life with his comments that I was so moved I jotted them down.

“Without community we can’t go very far.”

Work on “deep listening – listening with compassion to help him or her suffer less.  The suffering is sourced from wrong perceptions.”  I take this as how we forget that everything comes from the good, the beautiful, and true (Alice Bailey).

Thich Nhat Hanh”s Four Mantras

  1. Darling, I’m here for you.  (meaning you are offering your true presence).
  2. Darling, I know you are there. (meaning I know you are offering your true presence).
  3. Darling, I know you suffer that is why I am here for you.
  4. Darling, I suffer. I try my best to practice.  Please help me.  (when you suffer or believe your suffering is caused by your beloved).

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1-15oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1T vanilla extract
  • 1/2c packed dark brown sugar
  • 2/3c unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder
  • 1t coconut oil
  • 1/4t baking soda
  • 1/4t baking powder
  • 1/3c chocolate chips, plus 2T for sprinkling on top

instructions

Preheat oven 350 degrees F.

Grease an 8X8″ pan

Place egg, black beans, avocado, vanilla, and brown sugar in a Vitamin or food processor and blend until smooth.  Add in cacao powder, coconut oil, baking soda, and baking powder blend until smooth.  Batter will be thick, if you need it to be thinner to blend use a tablespoon or two of coconut milk.  The batter needs to be thick to give you a fudgy brownie.  Fold in chocolate chips and spread evenly into baking pan.  Sprinkle the remaining 2T of chips on top.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool and store in the refrigerator.

Enjoy

Are you Alive or Thinking you Are?

The Soul sits quiet and watches as the mind runs in circles.  One day the mind has trapped you in a body that doesn’t work, a mind that is incessant, or some way you have hit the wall in how you are living.  In the awareness of stopping and looking, the soul slowly eases into your personality.  The more you let your soul live through you, the more magic in each day’s occurrences.  Look for the coincidences, synchronicities, the amazement versus contracting into the personality wanting your life to be different than it is.  From the point of view you are standing, look and see the details, the people who pop into your life, the confirmations that we are part of a creative web of interactions.

We all have magic happen, the difference is whether you notice it or are too busy for such watchful aware living.  Another way of wording it “The fool sleeps as if he were already dead, but the master is awake and he lives forever.  He watches.  He is clear.” – Buddha

Mastering the experience of being in a form – a magical experience  here, now, and forever.
